The Holistic Approach
We offer a wide variety of therapeutic treatments to craft completely individualized roadmaps to get you to your goals.
Below are descriptions of a few of the treatments we offer.
For questions about any treatments not listed here, please reach out.

Relaxation & Therapeutic Massage
Human touch can have profound healing effects.
Massage therapy doesn't have to mean elbows in every sore muscle, there can be incredible benefits to managing pain from the (seemingly) simple relaxation massage. This is due to the effects a relaxation massage has on calming the nervous system, which for many of us, is often stuck in an alarm state which can contribute to low grade system inflammation and pain.
That said, deep tissue has its place as well, sometimes pain patterns stemming from chronic injuries or postural compensations may need a slightly more aggressive approach that may be uncomfortable.
Rest assured, your therapist will talk over the best treatment approaches to get you to your goals.
Prenatal Massage
This one's for all you mamas and mamas-to-be.
Prenatal massage therapy takes into account all the needs (and wants) of our pregnant clients. You need those aching feet worked on? We got you. You need that annoying persistent ache between your shoulder blades released? You got it.
Our therapists are certified in Prenatal Massage Therapy, and are highly trained in side-lying draping and bolstering techniques to ensure comfort and support for you and baby, while allowing you to get the same quality full-body treatments any other client would receive.
You can also be assured, that prenatal massage at Sacral Edge will never come with a higher price tag than any other treatment.
**Please be aware, massage in the first trimester is considered a contraindication, if you have questions, please reach out.

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy
LDT, also known as Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), is a very relaxing treatment that works with gentle touch to optimize the efficiency of your lymphatic system.
The more obvious benefits may include decreasing edema and swelling, improving post-surgical recovery timelines, decreasing congestion. It may also help promote detoxification, support the immune system, improve digestive function and improve tissue regeneration (muscle recovery anyone?)
Our therapists are certified in Lymphatic Drainage through Chikly Institute and are trained to map lymph flow in cases where a client may have obstructed flow due to surgery or lymph node removal or damage.

Fascial Stretch Therapy
In the simplest terms, FST is a table-based assisted stretching therapy, but it is also so much more than that.
FST considers four basic principles: breath, traction, pain-free, and dance. Yes, you read that right. Your therapist will stretch your muscles (and entire fascial lines, continuous from your feet to your head) while relying on rhythmic movement to relax your soft tissues and your nervous system; all while you lay back and relax.
Performed slowly, benefits of FST include improving mobility and range of motion, decreasing pain and muscle tension, and even improving sleep. Performed quickly, FST can help prepare muscles for exercise and sport by stimulating the sensory neurons in the muscles and increasing blood flow. It won't replace your warm-up but it might just give you that extra edge.

Therapeutic Tools
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM):
Utilizes steel tools with bevelled edges to improve blood flow to the area, decrease adhesions and hypertonicity, and enhance healing and recovery of sore muscles.
Cupping Therapy:
Utilizes silicon cups of various sizes to lift the layers of soft tissues to improve glide and decrease adhesions (the "stuck-ness" as we like to say). Cupping also brings fresh blood to the area potentially helping to flush metabolites from soft tissues to be detoxified by the body.
Hot Stone Therapy:
That's right, therapy. Hot stone tools are used to bring heat to an area of tension to enhance relaxation of muscles. These tools can be utilized in both deep tissue techniques and, of course, relaxation.

Microcurrent Point Stimulation (MPS) Therapy
Similar to TENS therapy, MPS relies on small hand-held devices that deliver a mild electric current to the body.
Where MPS differs is the use of Direct Current (DC) which is the same frequency as the nervous system.
When used on specific acupuncture points, MPS therapy may help improve various pain-patterns, and potentially, other health conditions. These devices help improve vagal tone and heart rate variability, which is a fancy way of saying, it helps calm you down.
Scar Therapy
When used along linear or keloid scars, MPS therapy may help to align scar tissue and in some cases has been shown to decrease the appearance of scars. MPS therapy has been shown to improve fascial restriction in C-Section patients.
